Spirit of Balkan, Bexx, MNG, Transavia?
Moi!

Andreas

From these four airlines, (Bexx, SOB, Transavia, MNG) I think that Spirit of Balkan has the most chance to settle down at NRN.
At least they are still talking about a start from NRN and FKB in December...
From Bexx, I do not know if we see them ever fly from NRN again. I know they were very happy to fly from NRN untill this issue with the Tupolev started.
From MNG, well they have planned 4 charterflights from NRN. One has been cancelled with an unknown reason. If you see that a small airport like twenthe has turkish charters, why not NRN??
Transavia, well this could well be the next big LCC at NRN. But I think IF this should happen it will be summer 2005.
Then there is Sky Airlines, they have also plans to expand in NRN...
What NRN needs is :
-Cargo
-24h opening times
-Longer runway
-Cat D or even E permit

Hello all,
I agree with Triple Nickel on Cargo, longer runway & Cat D or even E, but 24hr opening time, I don't think so Don't forget to widen the Taxiways (Did you know that the Northern Taxiway was used as a emergency runway. Seen some great take off's and landings from that side ).
Cheers,
White Cap

Yep.(Did you know that the Northern Taxiway was used as a emergency runway. Seen some great take off's and landings from that side ).
First aircraft I ever saw at Laarbruch, an Andover C1 was taking off from that taxiway, while the runway was blocked with big maintenance trucks.
There after we saw some jaguars take off from that taxiway...
Indeed, the taxiways as they are are too small for large cargo airplanes.
But if you look at Maastricht or Antwerp, there are cargoplanes that fall under cat D... So it CAN happen in NRN too!
