Info im Zusammenhang mit Gütersloh : vom 18.-21.10.04 findet ein großes Helimanöver statt. 18 Chopper ( KLM Chinook, D - CH 53 , D-Huey, GB - Lynx ) werden Truppen ins Lipperland transportieren. Ist vielleicht die Anreise wert im o.g. Zeitraum.

Sorry for the KLM Chinooks.

If they would be chartered by KLM, you would find some goodlookin blond Stewardess inside instead of soldiers it was KLU of course.

It was an excellent exercise, and even some approach of several NATO-aircraft took place on the 20th. It seems that Gütersloh is getting back into big RAF business step by step. Some big decissions also on its way, but lets wait what the MoD says. I will keep you informed.

Around June 04, I was present when a meeting took place with the 'Boys in Blue' (D). If everything goes to plan, things should start happening in Kries Kleve next year. My Director informed me that intrested parties would like us to run a secondary operation in that area due to expansion. I would hope that more people from this area would then use NRN

I'am not allowed to say who the 'boys in blue' are, but I will give you a clue. I used to wear a blue uniform (The 'boys in blue' wear a German version)

Yesterday, My Director confirmed the information that I put on this forum, but stated that he is still waiting for the go ahead.

Today noticed at Gütersloh :

L 410 transporter from the Czech Republic; some officials came over to take part in an memorial for the soldiers which died in the Lynx-crash a few weeks ago. Was the first fixed wing flying for ages, and for me it seems that this wasnt the last plane seen here.

thats correct, but if you havent seen an plane in your neighbourhood for more then one year, it do feels like ages , but if i check the mod-report, which can be found now under http://www.mod.uk, then i am more then positive to post more flightactivities soon in this form
