Today no Sky in the Air?
Heute morgen am Airport:
Im Airport Flugplan steht heute aktuell:
Sky Airlines von/nach AYT SHY209/210 29.03.05 - 25.10.05
06:10-09:00 - 10:00-14:20

@ Roel: How many flights did Eindhoven have 2 years ago???From this week at Eindhoven the summer flights to Antalya start. We had 4 or 5 only today... I know it's not a fair comparison, but it's the same potential passengers and the same potential tour operators.

@Ron
2 years ago, that was summer 2003;
especially on tuesday and saturday many flights to antalya (think total around 12 per week, perhaps more). But also Bodrum and Dalaman (both 1 or 2 times a week). It was also the first year that there were no flights to Faro, Palma and Heraklion, but these will return in this summer.
Coming summer we'll have a new record of holiday flights, after the record of 2004 and 2003.
@All
He, all I wanted to say was this (I said it before some months ago):
after the 11/9 tragedies and the bad times for aviation, the years 2003, 2004 (and still going on strong) were very very good (records!) for the regional airports. Almost all got many low-cost (eindhoven & nrn both did with ryanair) and many holidayflights, especially to Turkey, because it's simply hot&cheap at the moment. The fact is NRN opened it's doors in 2003, THE year for the regional airports. Already in 1999 the preplanning began, so they got the whole big booming regional market with them.
The strange thing is: there are NO holiday flights, except 1x Antalya at the moment. The other flights (only 2 or 3) that might come, don't start at the right time or are not clear when to start... that's strange isn't it? In a world were regional airports are at their limits (Eindhoven, Rotterdam) and big airports are also (DUS, FRA, EHAM and so on) a small and relative empty airport cannot get holiday flights...
There's only one answer if you ask me: they don't want them, OR they are not bothered about it (which could mean they're not bothered about the whole airport / just an investment / perhaps someone else is going to take over the whole stuff)

@Roel
