MST, Geilenkirchen, Javelin barracks 05/05

I found out this moring that a C-5 Galaxy should be landing at Maastricht.

So we went to MST:

After conquering some haevy traffic jams we arrived just in time at MST (well we arrived too late actually for good pictures... )

The C-5 was allready taxiing to the runway so we could not choose our photographing spot, we had to be satisfied with the spot were we were at that time... Too bad, I'd would have liked to take the beast in take off..





After MST we went to Geilenkirchen were we saw two KC135's and 9 E-3's.

Thereafter we went to Brüggen, just to have a look there:

We were very suprised wenn we saw a brand new fence around the whole base!!! Amazing!!

On the following pic you can see "Vortex" walking the famous spotters-path, with a happy face! He was soooo
happy to see Bruggen again after all these years!!!!!!!!

Didn't the VH-60 "Marine One" fly ??

The fence at Brüggen is not that new. Saw it allready about half a year ago. But it looks nice !

I was at Maastricht this evening, but the VH-60 was probably allready in it's hangar. The first security mesures can be seen allready and I guess spotting will not be possible during the landing and departure next weekend. Also the A79 and A2 motorways will be closed.

This evening at round 20.30 hr at a hockey-field in Roermond:

This helo was bringing the band "Beef" for the freedom music festival.

danke für die Bilder aus Brüggen...da werden Erinnerungen wach...all good things must come to an end...

Die C5 sieht auch klasse aus...bin ja mal auf die Fotos der AF One gespannt...hoffentlich ist das Wetter einigermaßen OK...
